The University Social Responsibility Unit is the line body responsible for promoting, organizing, integrating, executing and evaluating activities and interventions in the area of social responsibility, promotion of culture and art, and university extension of the Faculty of Sciences.

Activities that are carried out

With the participation of the teaching, administrative staff and students of our Faculty, cultural outreach activities are carried out both towards the community and the school educational sector where special emphasis has been placed to further motivate their interest in the professional careers offered by the UNI and especially for those offered by our Faculty. This continuous support translates into activities such as:

• Advice on the preparation of physics and chemistry experiments.
• Participation of our teachers in the specialties of Physics and Chemistry as Qualifying Juries in Science and Technology Fairs (FENCYT) organized by the UGEL in Lima and the provinces.
• Participation of Mathematics specialty teachers as Qualifying Juries in Mathematics Contests in Lima and the Provinces.

Trainings

For the community in general, Training Courses are provided in the different Areas that correspond to the specialties taught at the Faculty and especially those of an academic update of knowledge and experimental nature (laboratory experiments) for teaching.

Seminars, Workshops, conferences and Workshop Courses of an academic nature are held for Industry, Universities and Higher Institutes, such as:

• Electrochemical Methods for Environmental Remediation.
• Electrochemical Spectroscopic Techniques for the Analysis of Metals and Contaminants.
• Theoretical – Practical Course «Analysis by Atomic Absorption».

Events

Every 2 years the EXPOCIENCIA event is held, consisting of experimental exhibitions in more than 7 rooms for schools in Lima and the general public.

The faculty offers a variety of technological services based on capabilities, infrastructure and specialization designed to meet the needs of individuals, organizations or companies.
