The Integrated Management System of the National University of Engineering includes environmental management, quality management, and occupational health and safety management; and contributes to the achievement of its sustainability with the integrity and well-being of its university community as fundamental factors.
In this sense, Senior Management assumes the following commitments that reaffirm its dedication and responsibility to achieve successful integrated management in environmental, quality and occupational health and safety management:
- Leadership and Commitment: Establish leadership and commitment regarding effectiveness in quality management, environmental protection, pollution prevention, and worker protection by providing safe and healthy working conditions, eliminating hazards, reducing risks and preventing work-related injuries, illnesses, diseases and incidents.
- Establishment of objectives: The Integrated Management System Policy is a reference framework for establishing objectives, indicators and goals at all levels of the university, with a focus on:
- Effective process management.
- Comprehensive management of waste generated, promoting the eco-efficient use of resources.
- Management of occupational health and safety risks derived from the handling of hazardous materials at work.
- Regulatory compliance: Comply with applicable legal requirements in environmental, quality, and occupational health and safety matters; as well as those related to voluntary programs, collective bargaining and other requirements that the organization subscribes to in terms of safety and health at work.
- Resource Allocation: Provide the necessary and appropriate technological, financial, human and other resources to establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System.
- Participation and consultation: Guarantee the consultation and active participation of workers and their representatives in all elements of occupational health and safety management, encouraging the participation of members of the university community.
- Continuous improvement: Promote continuous improvement of the performance of environmental management, quality management and occupational health and safety management; as well as identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Performance review: Carry out periodic evaluations of results, analyze their effectiveness and contribute to the decision-making process.
- Communication and dissemination: Disseminate, update and ensure the availability of the Integrated Management System Policy so that it is known and applied. by the university community and its interested parties.
- Training and training: Promote training and training by strengthening the culture of quality, environmental and health and safety at work.
- Risk management: Effectively manage risks related to the Integrated Management System with emphasis on process effectiveness, environmental protection and occupational health and safety.
